THE PROBLEM

The existing lobe-type pumps at this site were continually failing, affecting the performance of the site as well as maintenance costs.

THE SOLUTION

NW Pump and Valve designed and installed five off Air Driven Diaphragm (ADD) pumping packages at the site

BENEFITS

  • Each pump works independently drawing sludge from the primary settling tanks and delivering to the dewatering tanks
  • ADD pumps offer excellent suction capability, which means specified flow rates are achieved with consistent sludge quality
  • All five ADD pumps are driven from two compressors arranged for duty/standby operation
