NW Pump and Valve has good reason to be celebrating recently. Following its recent move into new premises on Andrews Way, Barrow, the company was recently assessed for the Investor in People award, and passed with flying colours. The assessor, Stephen Maud, gave the company a glowing report. He wrote:
“It must be emphasised that this company is extremely well organised, believes in external standards, such as quality, environment, health and safety, as well as the Investor in People award.
“Although the company is relatively small, much larger organisations would be proud to be able to encompass the strategies and policies in place within this company.”
He concluded:
“This is one of the best companies of this size that this assessor has visited”
The company is now working towards the Occupational Health & Safety standard, 18001.
